I suppose the there is the possibility a shim could have got inside, but I assume the shims go on the rotor shaft and I didnt remove the rotor and I have also run the motor and it seems to run OK, Im thinking that maybe I have the end bell too tight and its clamping on the rotor too hard and what im feeling is the bearing being loaded too hard, perhaps I need to actually remove a shim?
