Medusa 60-2000 vs. 60-2200 for 1/8 Buggy

From what I've read on the various forums, Medusa 60-2000 appears to have plenty enough motor for 1/8 buggy and enough speed when geared-up even for the larger outdoor tracks with 175-200 ft straights. Any particular reason to consider the 60-2200 motor instead?

The 60-2000 appears to be the Medusa of choice for buggies, but then I suppose it has been available longer. I've seen where suggested Medusa V2 36 series motors for this application only included the smaller 50-2200 and the 60-2000 but those recommendations probably preceded the release of the 60-2200.

Generally speaking, considering typical gearing options and adequate ESC on 4S LiPo, is it fair to say on 4S , the 2000 is good for about the 30-45 MPH range while the 2200 is 35-50 MPH range? Can we draw the conclusion then tha the 2000 is adequately suited for short and large tracks wherease the 2200 may only really be suited for larger tracks and bashing? Is it even worth discussing as any differences in run-time, torque/speed, or reliability of either of these motors geared for 40 MPH for use on 1/8th scale tracks be negligible?
