could you just grind the bonded pinion off? Just plug the motor and spin it slowly with low voltage so the pinion and shaft are spinning and then use a dremel on the pinion gear to grind it off. with the motor spinning you shouldnt have any problem keeping everything round. I'm sure you have good griding equipment at the body shop too.
Cant hurt, and if you wind up having to buy a new rotor cuz you messed up, you were going to do that anyway, right.
