Medusa 028-56 V2 SE ?

I am planning on a Medusa MR-028-056-1900V2, a 28x56 size motor for my 580mm Vee boat, but the motor's centering hub is stopping me from this option, 'cause my motor mount has a center hole of 8mm but the motor center hub is 9.53mm in dia.

What's the real use of this hub ring-wall on front endbell casing?

I bought SE versions of the 3670 and 3680 V2s, and found the centering hub has been thankfully removed to have a flat front mounting plate. Will Medusa have a SE version also for its smaller brothers ?
