my experience with RC-Monster - 04.29.2009, 10:33 AM

I just got my second shipment from Rc-Monster, and Mike's stuff is GREAT.

So here's the story....I bought a couple of Losi 8ight's on ebay last week to convert to brushless, and since i've never converted a buggy before i got the losi conversions.

I figured it would be my best bet doing it that way since the company that produced the truck also made the conversion.... i thought they would have the best design. not true at all imo.....

let me just say for the most part, the losi conversion is good, but the motor mounts imo FREAKIN SUCK!!! they make it so you can only gear it to something like an 18 or 19t pinion with the 45t spur. i was WAYYY disappointed because i like doing speed runs. I felt like they assumed that everyone was using it solely for track purposes.

Well, i went on Mike's site and found his 8ight motor mount and got one just to see if his was any better.

It was AWSOME! not only is it a WAYYY better design, but it fits the 8ight better than losi's version imo. I can gear it as high as i want to, 45/25 and i have plenty of room. So i got another for my second 8ight.

also, his pinions rock....flat out. i use them in every vehicle i have. they're strong as stong can get.

I just wanted to say thanks to Mike for producing such a great product and making this forum possible. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU.
