fewest cells with 9xl

I was wanting to know the least amount of cells I could run on a 9xl. I am going to try to put it in my custom stampede with a 7018. My pede has an all metal tranny with cvd's and a custom cf chassis so I'm thinking with the correct gearing I could keep the tranny intact. I will be using 32 pitch gears. I do have a 32 tooth pinion. ;)
