AKA vs Proline - 09.26.2009, 02:11 PM

Anybody have any extended run time on the Proline Revolvers or Cailbers? I have been running AKA's since they came out but the new Proline Calibers look promising so I bought a set, but have not tried them yet. One thing I like about the AKA's are the foams last a long time, so you can buy just the tires and reuse the foams which saves you a few bucks.

I found that the AKA tires are wider and taller than the Prolines. Calibers shown are mounted on V2 rims which are supposed to be wider than the regular Velocity rims.

AKA truggy foams (on the right) after a month of racing, Losi foams on the left show some wear and are much softer than the AKA's.

Big pile of tires, mostly AKA but there are Proline Revolvers, Calibers and SC Bow Ties as well.

The reason for all the tires, two brushless truggies, one buggy, one CRT.5, a Crawler and a SC10.
