Per CC, only the original owner has the ability to claim a warranty repair on it.
You sure it's the V3? I've heard of a few V3's making it out the door with bullet plugs on the battery side, just not many.
And, you can do better than $120 for a used MMM. I know. I looked on rctech when I built my buggy. Every now and then you can pick up a used one for $100. Be prepared to swap out the case/fan when you buy used.
