Its quite nuts what these engines are capable of when their built up right. Thats an interestng find lutach.

The 13b apex seals are thinner than the 12a seals which make them more vunerable to blow seals while under turbo pressure. Thats why porting is the way to go. In my opinion. Its been claimed that you can reach 550hp off a PP 13b with Holley PP intake and a large cfm tuned carb. The bridge port is capable of around 280hp. And the PP powerband is from 8k rpms to 12k rpms.
