1/18 Scale Brushless Brakes? - 12.09.2006, 03:27 PM

For quite some time I have been debating whether to build an 1/18 scale. However, after driving a couple of my friend's 18T's (one with stock motor, other with a Reedy Mini-Max) I have found that the brakes on both pretty much dont exist.

My G2R can go from top speed to a stop in a little over 10 feet if traction permits (and I dont flip the truck from applying to much brakes).

So, I was wondering if the brushless motors have better brakes? Cause it would be a hell of a thing to be doing like 60mph with a 8000kv motor and have no (significant) brakes.

Plus, do you guys know which motors or possibly ESC's will have better brakes?

I figure using a Mamba Max will give me better brakes over a Mamba25 (costs is not too important for the motor/esc).

Let me know what you guys think...
