You just wire it in parallel with the existing cap. Nothing special.
Caps function as a quick functioning battery. They store small amounts of energy (compared to an actual battery) but they can be discharged and recharged hundreds of times a second. This allows the Motor System to draw lots of power instantly (from the cap) instead of a delay when the pack's voltage is trying to recover.
