It puzzles me somewhat that a motor rated at about 4000KV & 14.4v will spin at upwards of 40,000 rpm, yet a motor rated for 2000KV & 24v will only spin at about 30,000rpm- but its much more powerful & moves truck faster..... The difference in torque is the key obviously- a 'slower' motor will run a truck faster because its a longer can, and the # of turns affects it too- more turns equals more torque+less current draw I think? Its all somwwhat bewildering but I think Im getting the hang of it now....

well, the novak hv-maxx may spin fast, but it is geared around 22/1 i think.
while a 30k rpm xl spins slower but is geared like 15/1 or so.
that means the truck can go faster.
take a peek with brian's calculator.
