Well, it depends.

I guess a pro would be they are pretty much a perfect fit and won't bunch up and throw the truck out of balance.

A con is that I heard when they baloon with the tire, they end up tearing and then they wreak havoc on your tire balance because they bunch up and stuff. They are also heavier than standard "air" foam.

I probably won't be using them because I haven't really had any trouble with standard inserts.

If you do decide to use them, however, I would strap them just like you strap the tire. By this I mean wrap tape around the outer circumference of the foam. This will prevent the foam from expanding and tearing. Its also a good idea to strap the inside as well, just to prevent any tears from starting.

This is what I would do.
