Well, I could be wrong I suppose, but the only way to be certain would be:
1. Try it- if it works, great! if it blows up.....
2. Contact Novak and ask.

Novak sensored esc & motors seem to be a bit different & fussy, not like sensorless motors which will work with any sensorless esc in the correct voltage/amperage range.

That's what pretty much what everything comes down to. :)

If you don't want to risk it, sell it and get a MMax or a sensored esc.

HV-Maxx will run any sensored motor. Novak's motors have heatsensor inside motor, so controller will stop working if motor temp exceeds rated limits.

So that's what they do. I wasn't sure if it was a temp compensator for the sensors or for a therm protector like you suggest.:028:

I hate quoting myself because it looks stupid, but like I said, if it actually works and there are thermal issues, then brilliant- thats a whole load of new options opened up. If however there are more long term issues then we wont know until a little way down the road. The main thing that concerns me is that the normal range of BL motors by Novak are shorter & designed to run on 7.2v. It might be like running 2 540 can motors on the evx at 14.4v; fast as heck but they burn up and die in a short period of time. Good luck though if you try it and succeed.
