8ight T conversion

I haven't checked anything on the calculator. What should I be checking. The 1512 1.5Y that I got is downright slow. Very unimpressive on the track. It just doesn't seem to be turning the rpms that it should be. I'm starting to wonder if I got a mislabeled motor. It runs fine and runs cool. It just isn't very fast. I geared up to 16/46 and things got a bit better, but for a 1900kv motor, I shouldn't have to gear up that high. With my 9XL, 16/46 was too much. I had to back down to 14/46 for the track; and the 1512 has a higher kv rating than the 9XL. I was really expecting 8XL performance out of this 1.5Y.

I'm going to put the 1512 on the shelf and hope that Castle releases a fix. Then, I'll put the 1512 in my buggy and see how it does. I'm going back to the 9XL for the truck.

What can I say...another bad choice. I should have listened to everyone that said to go with the 1515.
