If the magnet is whole and not busted, try JB Weld on it. I had a novak hv 4400 that the magnet seperated and it worked great on that. The light scuffing that you did will help a lot in adhesion

Well, I took it apart again and tried the JB weld thing. It's definitely one solid magnet on the shaft. We'll see how it goes in a day or two. I also decided to replace the bearings while I was at it because one of the originals was feeling a bit crunchy. If it comes loose again I'll probably go with the 1512 2.5D.
