Yeah, I used contact cleaner on the threads before.
Pretty much everything is ok though, except for the pinion. I think it might have been getting a bit worn and then some aluminum sworf went through it. I had a good look at the crown gear and compared it to a new one, but couldn't see anything wrong with it. |
