1st day at the track results - 06.27.2007, 05:44 PM

I finally got to the track with my ERT today. I was very pleased with the results. The track was blue groove & a light coating of dust, air temp was close to 90 degrees

My equipement was
9XL with 62/13 gearing with fan
4s 8000 maxamp lipo's
warrior 9920

The following results were after at least a 15 minute run

Motor temp 155 average max was 170
lipo temp were 108 average 118 max
ESC was 105 thru the fan average, 121 at the heat sink max

Mac what are you running for oils in your ERT ?

It very much depends on the track conditions but I like it a bit stiff. Most of the tracks I run on are not very bumpy (at least not at the start of the day) the trend up here is big, flat base with nice size jumps, not bumps...so I run 50 or even 60 wt oil in the front and rear. I tend to run the same on both ends. I feel like the Electric truck has plenty of squat already so on mine, I don't drop the rear 10wt like you do on most trucks. As for Diff oils, it's 7K or 5K up front and 3K or 1K in the rear. In the center I mix it up often. I keep a 50K built and a 30K built. I like the feel of the higher oils in the center but I have swapped it down to as low as 10K. I like the 30K best though at the Wolcott race I ran 50 for instant acceleration over the triple.

Thank's david

So you run 30 or 50 thousand in center, mine has 7000 in it i belive, from the guy who built it. I'll go up to at least 20,000 to start. My home track is very smooth ( well groomed) & a real blue groove track.
