I am using 2 x 7,4v Maxamps 6000 mah. and it is awesome.

I am also using the lisaver Mike has in his shop, but it make the E-maxx do alot of cogging, so nowI just drive it without the saver, and pay a lot of attention. I am also using the HV4400.

Hey what is the lisaver do? i looked in the store and found it but there was not a definition of what is does?
is it a lipo cutt off?

I going to go the same route. I'm goint to use 2, 7.4 maxamp 6000 batts or 8000 if they will fit.

it moniters the battery voltage and interupts the esc so the batterys do not get over discharged, which will ruin the batterys, i used one from novak, and it was very sensitive to back to back hard runs , which lowers the pack voltage and shut the esc down, i dont remember which one i used , i think it was the 2s one, if interested in the novaks email them directly, they will also let you know where to solder it on the esc. , but there are many available from other places
