Yeah, was trying to figure out how to get around the unscrewing problem. Maybe use a 2nd pinion and tighten them against each other, like double-nutting when you do not have a nylock handy.
I used it with a mechanical brake and a 2 speed tranny. The 2 speed has a one way bearing in it so it doesnt apply any pressure when coasting and a mechanical brake so there was no motor brakeing pressure. Other than that I'm thinking it will be pretty tough to keep the pinion on there. Double nutting might work as long as the threads are long enough to get 2 pinions on there. Only way to know for sure is to try.

Yeah, I was thinking of trying it out on a hyper 7 buggy that I will be running on 6s, with mechanical brakes. I figure if I turn the brake off on the controller and use the stock brakes it could work, Just need to figure out battery mounting!!!
