i went with this set-up in my 8T and couldn't be more pleased with our track tests...
Losi 8T race roller chassis Neu 1515 1Y/F motor rc-monster motor mount 14 tooth [HS] mod1 pinion/stock spur F7000/C30,000/R5000 wt. dif. oil Schulze 40.160 v14 series control DIP brake, no reverse, med. timing Li-Saver LVC 4s-2p NeuEnergy [30-60C] 8200 mAh lipo misc. spring/shock/suspension tuning temps are pleasingly low  run time excellent and as long as the track is damp she hooks-up like a big dog!thanks to the input from forum members and Mike C. my first truggy conversion was painless and fun...
