Many of the airplane ESCs I've seen also don't have as high pulse current rating as a car-specific ESC. Airplanes tend to use a more constant current, while cars pull lots of current to start, but drops wayyy down once you reach the desired speed.

However, as long as the ESC is chosen with this in mind, there is no reason I can think of not to use an "air" one. Oh, that and the fact most need sometype of throttle adaptor like the pistix module.

Speaking of the pixstix, do I have to use one to run a CC hv85 controller with a "wheel" radio. I have both the pixstix and the hv85, but never used either and did not know if the castle can be setup to recognize a whell radio.
