I've did the test on R/C calculation and this is what i've experience.

Ok, I would try that. The gearing you mentioned will put your pede near 50mph if you run 3s lipo on the 9l. As long as your pede is light the l motor should run ok, not too hot. I would test that setup by temping the motor and esc frequently on the test run.

i ran the 540 6l and like it waaaaaaaaay more than the 7700 from castle. i can't believe it, it's geared lower, spinning half as fast, but i have more torque, longer run times, and no bogging down in the tall grass, anyone wanna buy a cm36 7700?

Put it on ebay, I got almost 80 bucks for the last CC motor I sold.
