Avid offers 6 x 15 (no help there) and 8x14. If you have no luck locating 8x15 (I'm guessing you have older UE Knuckles) ask Mike here at RC-Monster if he'll whip up some sleeves to allow you to use the 8x14 bearings in the 15mm knuckles. That should be a reasonable fix. Your next best bet is ebay or google around to see what you find.

Good luck. If I locate some I'll get in touch with you.

BTW....nice looking truck buddy!

Hey...that's a great idea. The UE knuckles are GONE. Do you think the Revo knuckles would work? They accept the 8x16x5 bearings. Otherwise, I will ask Mike to see what he can do.

that really is a good idea...and you wouldn't have to do anything to the knuckles.

maybe you could take your 8mm cvds to your LHS to see if they would fit in a revo knuckle?

i took my 15mm knuckles to a local machine shop and he bored the holes open 1mm. the 16mm bearings fit perfectly, and then you could use either 6mm or 8mm cvd's.

Hey that's cool. What did that cost?

my time there...and i learned a lot with this guy, so i don't consider that a cost at all.

he did it for free. he's an older guy that runs a small-ish shop with his 2 sons. it's not extremely state of the art, but has some pretty impressive stuff. i was in there for probably 2 hours - it took him a long time to figure out how to a) hold such an odd shaped piece of metal like a UE knuckle, and b) how to get the extra 1mm that was taken out to be perfectly centered and true, and at the correct depth. he told me he just likes to putter at small jobs like that for the challenge, not the money. needless to say, i thanked him profusely.

since that time i managed to find newer 16mm knuckles, and sold the old set off lol.

I live in an area where the work ethic is very different...sad. Looks like I will go the Revo knuckle route.
