Just a quick note. When I set up my EVO with a MM and a 1950 1800kv I found that when I plugged my 2 6000 mah 2s2p (ran in serious) into the MM with an RX pack just sitting the MM would heat up. Yes the MM BEC red wire was unpluged. I brushed my hand against is before I ever ran it. Hot to the touch. After I installed a UBEC no heat issue's what so ever. Just a thought.

That is very strange indeed to hear that the MM would heat up like that.

I'm sure with more tweaking, and possibly better batteries I could make the MM work for me without any problems. And a UBEC could be the cheapest way to get rid of my heat issues as well. In fact, with a new fan mounted on it, cooler temps outdoors, and higher settings programmed, the MM ESC now seems to be staying well within its normal temp range.

But I'm glad all this has resulted in me buying a whole new ESC for my E-Maxx. Even though it burned a hole in my wallet, I can now supply it with more power (6s lipo - I hope this isn't too much lol), and I can return the MM ESC back to my Rustler from which it was borrowed.
