Yeah, I just hate going through the bidding process just to get outbid by $0.51 at the last second. I'll look a bit more at some point.

Dont bid on anything . What i do is click on the items ending soonest. Then i find the item i want & set the price that im willing to spend. I use a stop watch I turn it on at 1 minute & go to the bid section type in my bid Then when there is about 15 - 20 seconds left i send in my bid.

I use auction sniper and have it enter my bid with 7 seconds left.

Not really. Just buying small parts here and there to get it to showroom condition. The majority of my paychecks have been tied up in other things lately.

I already modded the large CF plate, so it's really just a matter of choosing a motor, ESC, and batteries. Once that is done, I'll know what extra parts I'll need to fabricate.

So, it's basically a completed roller right now (sans tires) and will probably stay that way until spring.

I updated mine at my birthday with aluminum c-hubs, steering knuckles, and that's the state it's currently in.. Didn't do anything on it. Perhaps I'll have a closer look tomorrow.

...wow...when i first posted MY conversion hardly anyone looked at it :D And now we have Serum and BG working on them too? Time for me to put it back together i reckon :D BTW the original thread is in the truggy section somewhere...couple of months back now...

hellfire have problems with DIFFS.
1st Plastic is quite bad, its wear out with time.
2'nd problem with diff that Diff housing is too flexible and Diff Bevel Gear and pinion will wear out.
Our nitro guys use in midle (Alu)Savage differential and in Front and Rear they put HotBodies Spiral cut bevel gear and pinion and shim it.
Some guys tells that propper shimming solve problems on stock hellfire diffs.
But Hellfire performs very well on track. Handling is pretty good!

Well, I picked one of these rollers up today. I was debating back and forth 'tween this and a CEN Matrix TR Arena. As usual with me, even though I really like the CEN better, I chose the cheaper of the two! One of these years I'm going to actually purchase something New in box!!!

In regards to the motor mounts that mike sells - What drives the difference between them all? Is it just mounting holes (in relation to the chassis holes)? Is it possible to just randomly pick one of them and drill the appropriate matching holes in the chassis and use it? Or might we have to do some grinding to provide clearance for the center diff supports?

If i remember correctly rene said that mike makes a motor mount for the hellfire .

JT actually it is not just based on mounting holes in relation. some may be more similar to others but the real differece is the diff configuration and that is why it take a while to design a mount. so the diff configuration might not be the same for a mugen for example and a hellfire. hope i helped

In what sense? All we are trying to do is to position our pinion on the motor relative to the "spur" on the Diff, correct? If the diff gear extends past the edge of the diff support, then its basically just a matter of sliding the pinion in to mesh up with it....of course making sure that its parrallel. I'm sure I don't quite understand yet how they mount since I've never installed one, so I'm just trying to get a better understanding.

Intergy makes a diff cup for the hellfire, don't know if there any good though.
