Lehner 1950 end cap help!!!

Maybe I am not explaining things right. As an example look up at What’s_nitro’s avatar picture. This is an LMT motor. The end were the motor shaft comes out of the motor is a purple end cap. On the purple end cap in this picture is drilled 6 motor mount screw holes. My motor has 8 motor mount screw holes. All 8 of these screw holes are fine. It’s the purple end cap that is broken. The purple end cap screws itself into the black motor body. That’s where the threads are located that are stripped. I can pull that purple end cap off and mount it up fine but the motor will not screw onto the end cap. Because I can’t get the motor screwed onto the end cap I can’t run the truck.
