From what I hear badlands are a heck of an all around tire, just not really good for street or hard packed stuff...

Yes, they are great, but just remember, they are not a high speed stability tire, after 40mph, they tend to balloon at that point, although not near as bad as some tires, such as the Mashers for instance.
