Yes we all have different feelings about what is going on at UE, but from my point of view I have learned that there will always be roadblocks thrown in front of us, but we have to find a way around them. Giving up and selling our toys is not the answer. In the very last part of my blog I gave everyone the incentive to write to UE and express your feelings to them/Robin/Sam. If he gets enough of a response then that might be all it takes for him to see that there is a real reason to keep making the parts we need and supply us a little bit better. It is great that we all have these forums to vent on, but he is the one that needs to hear what we are going through. He is the only one who can get anything done with the UE issues for supplying us the parts we need.

With everyone running scared and selling their UE products over the last year I have managed to put together 4 Supermaxx's with UE parts purchased on EBay & other sites at huge discounts in most cases. We R/C junkies have to band together and make UE realize that They have an obligation to their customers to support & supply us with replacement parts since we are the ones who have kept them in business up to now. Venting and complaining on a forum is great for stress relief, but it is not going to make that point to UE... Look at the situation here, this is a win win scinario on both sides. We get what we want & need, and he gets money. This is not rocket science but if we don't speak out to UE nothing will get to the people who matter the most. I am sure that Robin is not reading these blogs, but he does read his emails almost every day. So we bombard him with requests to get better support for UE parts of the SuperMaxx. How hard is that to do?

Sorry if I am pissing in anyones weaties here, but I know you have all heard the saying "it is the squeeky wheel that gets the oil". Well lets start squeeking. At this point what have we got to lose. He either responds with a reasonable answer or he closes up shop on us. What do you think he will do?

While we are on the subject why isn't someone out there making a complete set of "UltraMaxxed" gears yet? The guy who was making them closed up shop quite a while ago. I know RC4WD has a mediocer copy of them, but they do not have the same capabilities as UE or FastLane for high quality machined parts. UE & FastLane would be a good place to start, or even Mike at RCmonster. There has to be someone out here that can make things happen for us. We litterally have thousands of people around the world who are involved in this hobby with EMAXX vehicles who need the support of one company or another. The only thing that produces success is demand, but only if the manufacturer knows that the demand exists. We have to speak up and make sure it gets to the right people. I know Mike has a reputation for getting us what we want and need. Maybe he is the man we should be talking with. Does anyone out there have a set uf ultramaxxed gears that they can send to Mike to use as a template? Just a thought.

I hope you guys are getting pissed about this and want to do something about it. Robin says UE is fine and recovering. So lets let him know that we are here waiting on him. Life is good. Have a great day gentelmen. I'm out.

Hi !

... yes, i have a set of gears still sitting in my spare parts box, i managed to get two sets of gears in the short time range they were produced by "ultramaxxed".

but i think there will be no real demand for the gears since the emaxx isnīt that state of the art anymore... and - to be really honest - with the unlimited idlers the ultramaxxed gears are nice to have but not really neccessary to build a bomb proof truck.

btw - are the ue idlers in stock anywhere? i think not...

But i will comment on what you said regarding the demand of ue products:

There _is_ demand of ue products and robin should know this. the german distributor, gp-racing.de has so many open orders that are months old and he gets no parts...

robin could get hundreds of dollars just from me - i would instantly order lightning chassis, 7.5er diffs, shox, all that.

even on his homepage he writes that he will only sell via his distributors... and the distributors donīt get parts.

i would instantly order parts for a few hundred dollars if i could.

marc.

p.s.:

same problem with gorillamaxx - you get no parts.

Yes There Are Problems. - 10.26.2007, 06:18 PM

I am not here to defend UE or Robin. I have merely been trying to get everyone who has an interest in the UE products to stand up and be heard. Neither you or I can do anything on our own, but if he gets hit from all sides by everyone who has spoken in these forums he has to take notice, and maybe he will come through. I have no idea what UE's problems are, but we have to fight together as a group of R/C diplomats and make him pay attention. And I just ordered two sets of steel idlers on Friday and they were mailed out yesterday. I should have them within a week. So the products are still comming, but slowly from what I can see.

I wrote an email to Mike (RCMONSTER) this morning to request his assistance in convincing FLM to make a set of gears like the ULTRAMAXX gears for production and sale. You may think that there is no need for them but I am one to say that there is a need. I run all metal gearing in my trucks, but I know they can be made better.

I have never heard so much negativity in all my life. Don't you get it. There is always strength in numbers. Besides what do you have to lose???? Obviously you are already having trouble getting the UE gear so why not fight for it. If all you have to contribute is negative energy then why are you even bothering talking on here about it? If you fall down, what do you do? That is right you get back up and keep pushing forward.

If you're on the UE forums, then you've seen this - check MM's response in the thread - reply #5 I believe -

http://www.unlimitedengineering.com/...407#post232407

MM almost makes it sounds like he's not finished with the RC scene, but I don't know what to think. I have enough spares for my 3 that I will continue to run, build and modify until I run short on spares. It would be nice to see him make a comeback, especially on parts that wear (Super6, cvds etc). But I wouldn't blame him if he remained a custom motorcycle parts inventor/supplier.

Also, the guy who posts as "bnighs" on UE forum (I've bought a lot of UE stuff from him, he is dependable and reliable - check UE BST trader info also) posted a few weeks back that he had finally "finished" the UltraMaxx E-Maxx gear sets and they were available. I believe he explained he was involved in getting them produced (latest generation) and IIRC said he had 30sets.

Ben works a weird schedule, so if you try and contact him, it may be a while before he gets replies. I think his job is in a diff state from where he lives and he is gone days at a time. He has always replied to pms I've sent him. I've seen no further mention so I have no clue if he still has any left - most of his dealings go on via pms.

Ben is the guy who made the OTB trans setups that were used for supermaxx.

by all means, fight the good fight dude. fight for this until you're purple in the face. but if you've been around the UE scene over the past, oh, at least 2-3 years, and you've tried contacting robin or sam with that very complaint, or if you've tried asking on the UE friggin forums about what the heck is going on, and get ZERO replies or answers, you'll quickly lose that steam.

combine that frustration with spending thousands and thousands and thousands - on one truck - one complete UE supermaxx masterpiece - when you don't have that much to spend on a single truck, but think it's worth it anyhow - and all of a sudden there are no replacement parts? when suddenly you have something that is not only rare, but very much sought after and worth a literal ton of money?

well, i didn't get mad anymore. i made my own point to robin in my own way. i became indifferent and sold the truck, and will put the money towards another great truck that i can actually build, enjoy, and get inexpensive replacement parts for.
