Yep... I looks like it used to run a 1/8 buggy in its past.

I gotta say, it was a decent little motor for its size and weight. Just not the kick in the pants that I wanted.

I am very surprised that the Q33 handled that. Seems like a really big load for that esc. WHere were you running it? Pavement? Grass? I could possible see it surviving if you drove it easy and stick to the pavement. I have a Quark 33 around here somewhere. Maybe I'll toss it in the revo and see if it can take the 1521 and 5s . Lord knows the 125B cant do it without overheating. Maybe I have just been using the wrong controller all this time.

LOL Jhautz, you're too funny man. You have some AWESOME setups.

I didn't think the Quark 33 would handle it either, but I like to experiment. It doesn't get hot enough to burn my finger though. LOL

I was running it in the grass, on gravel, cutting donuts on the wet concrete driveway, and played around climbing some 6 foot tall dirt piles with it.

It should be interesting to play with. If the 33amp esc starts giving me trouble, I'll probably put my Quark 80 back in it.

I just had to see though. I didn't think this motor would draw that many amps with the gearing used.

This motor was in a Rustler for awhile on 4S with the Quark 80. I geared it pretty high, and it was awesome on 4S Lipo. It stripped the stock tranny gears pretty quick. After the upgrades, it would get up on the wheelie bar at 40mph.

No I don't, at least not yet. I have been looking at them and I need one for collecting data.

I noticed Novak is coming out with their own version of the Eagletree. The Sentry Data Logger. I wonder how good it is?

On the Cyclon website specs for the Car 2000 are:

"Power with 16 cells : 600 W continous , 900 W peak (30 seconds)
Efficiency : 89% at 16v - 31amps, Timing 4 degrees
Current: 35 A continous, 60 A peak (30 seconds)
Kv = 2093 Io = 1.7A (6v)
Dimensions : Diameter 36 mm, Length, 53mm (without shaft), weight 160g"

I figure I'm right at the rating for the ESC, but I'm slipping by with the added cooling of the fan.

I took a closer look at the winding and the magnets in this motor. It is a 12 pole stator wound like a 6 pole! Inside the endbell the magnets are extra wide. It is being operated as a 6 pole. Interesting. I would love to play with different windings and be able to record the rpm's, amp draw, etc. with 12 pole outrunners. (whisper whisper--------Direct drive E Revo)
