My 1st car was a piece, it had a 65hp 1.0L 3cyl engine, but that car was a blast. I took it offroading, drifting around corners in the snow, and so much mayhem my parents were wise not to let me have a better/faster car. I cared for it, fixed it when I broke it, but in the end it was not nice enough to worry excessively about the little stuff.

In the end its just a car, don't get yourself into trouble over it. It will rust, get scratches, dents from rocks, paint will fade, oil will leak, etc. Its a $!%ty deal, but kids are jealous & vengeful.

People are crazy anymore. In philly there is more than 1 murder per day. Baghdad is safer some days. The stuff I see on the news and the reasons for it are just so F'ing stupid. Dumb wannbe thugs killing ea other over nothing (or usually miss and shoot someone's kid instead.)

I avoid the city as much as I can. My guess is that you are not living in the middle of such an area either, and you need to protect your stuff, but don't do anything stupid over something as transient as a car.

Thats almost to true...On July 4th at the Mississippi River levee at the annual fireworks show one of my close friends was shot by accident by someone aiming at someone a good 15 feet away...It hit her spine (shattering it), her spleen, and her diaphragm...
