WAIT!!!! There is another tool you can use. They are specific drill bits for removing stripped out screws. Here's an ebay auction with the info:

Its a double sided tool that fits in a drill. The first side drills out the top of the screw. Then you flip it over and reverse your drill. The second side looks like a tap. It fits exactly into the hole side 1 drilled. Side 2 sinks into the drilled out hole and removes the screw. I use mine a lot on my RC's when the hex head screws strip out. I bought mine at Sears were Craftsman sells them. You might be able to save your mount.
