I'm still thinking about getting one of the TCS setups. I think it would work decent, but I guess the only way to find out is try it. The main advantage I see is a cooler running system, if only slightly, which could allow you to have a wider array of gearing choices. Maybe use something like the 9920 marine and make use of the tubes that run through it...I'll probably try one on my BPP LSP. I just might help with heat, since it gets pretty damn hot in the summer around here...

I am completly sold on HV setups and will only run HV from now on.

I am running 8S A123's and the CC HV110, with the pistix Serum referenced earlier, and I don't even break 100F in racing conditions.
I run this setup on my 8ight, G2R, and MBX5T.

My only issue is throttle control with the HV110 but I am getting a better handle on this over time.

My hope is that the MMM will handle 8S A123's. That is... if the MMM is ever released

Agreed. I like HV as well, only issue that I have, that you probably don't have, is it gets well above 100 degrees frequently around here. I hope if I try the water cooling, it will let me keep it nice and cool in the summer.

What is the throttle control like starscream? I have a hv 85 and plan on using it in my aftershock on 10s.

@squee
Ya, It doesn't normally get above 90F in Seattle.

@linc
By default, the HV's throttle seems to be all or nothing. I have been tweeking the settings and playing with the throttle expo to get the most comfortable feel. Its getting there.

I also noticed that the esc cutsoff everynow and then when I punch it to clear a triple. This may simply be my cutoff kicking in. I may just dial the lvc settings to 1V per cell to test the A123's.
