Thanks. I want to get a 1515 1y on 4s and 5s. 6s is just more than I want to spend on batteries.

Actually it shouldn't be any more for 6s unless you're keeping the same mah for a 4s and 5s as a 6s. But that's not necessary since you don't need as much mah for a 6s as a 4s or 5s.

Did any of that make any sense?

Yep, a 3s 5000mah battery and a 6s 2500mah battey should produce the same runtime, if the correct kv motors are employed to produce the same motor speed and the gearing is the same. I have noticed that the hv setup seems to get slightly longer runtimes than expected. I think that boils down to the hv setup being more effecient.

Dude, thanks - that's exactly what I was trying to say. And yeah, I think you're right about the efficiency. Since you're drawing less amps - the heat load is lower and I think it just runs better. At least that's what I'm betting on since I've got a 6s 3900 waiting to go into my XT8.

My e-maxx on youtube. I want to get a monoblock or kershaw 1/6 chassis to extend the wheelbase.

I don't have a vid of the rc8t yet, but since getting it, I am undecided if I should sell the maxx.

On the 1515 1/y, the 6s would be a tad on the hot side. 5s is warm, 4s is perfect.

i am aware, but thank you for the info. I plan on running on 4s and throwing in a 5s pack purely for vulgar displays of power.

I already have two 2s and a 3s for my Rusty. I can get 4s and 5s there with a series adapter. I will be buying separate batts for the revo though as I only have 1 battery tray.
