No, not everyone wants sensorless. I think the majority can do without sensors though.
And the most powerful setups available for rc cars ARE sensorless. Because sensors are simple not needed to make a comfortable and drivable setup. with a 60 mph setup i don't think you need a supersmooth startup which is .01 mph capable. If you buy an F1 you don't expect the smoothness of a towncar either.
