BP-Revo, How many foot pounds of torque go with those motors? I have seen a 700hp VW 2010cc motor. Would I put it in my 10,000lb work truck and expect it to get down the road better than my little 350hp 454cu v-8? no.

I think the castle product will be cool. (subject matter?)

If I could only draw what I see in my head, then afford to build it, and finaly get to play with it...

"Look honey, we are approaching the 100k mile service for the ferrari!"

"Ok dear, do you remember where the dealership is?"

"No, remember we have not been back since we bought it new."

This is is a conversation that would never occur between a ferrari owner and his wife. Possibly a japanese vehicle could do this, and many american pickup trucks go for a while without anything but oil changes. In order to get that kind of power, tolerances must be tighter and that causes accelerated wear. No way to get around that, except to use much higher tech materials and thta drives the price up. America has lagged behind the rest of the world due to the fact tthe big 3 have had each other to compete with. It did not take much for ford to build a better vehicle than the chrysler k car, and anything drove better than a late 80s early 90s GM front wheel drive product (caddilac cavalier, anyone remember that little gem?).

All the japanese had to do was bring in a better made car and it was easy then, the big 3 were rolling in cash due to selling their crap to the unwashed masses. Now they have to face the reality that they were not keeping up with the times, and they have soiled their names. Is a camry any better than a taurus? It was in the early ninety, but not now. However the damage is done and the general public is fixed on the fact that the japanese cars are better, truth or not.

Plus the european mfgs have sold a bunch of high performance cars to the US, especially when all you could get was a crap 84 vette that a big block truck could outrun. Now they have a performance image that the US cars do not. Do they last as long? Are replacement parts cheap? No, but who cares as they are all lease vehicles anyway.

I've seen a 1000whp Evo, which sports a 2L engine. Given, it lasted about one pass and needed to be rebuilt.

Obviously the motors have less torque because torque is in many parts directly related to displacement. But then again we are talking high performance cars not work vehicles...

A Viper has more torque and weighs less than an M5 yet it is slower straight line care to explain that?

When something is engineered better its just engineered better.

Who cares about numbers and all that. When you get two cars, the faster one is just faster. And when the faster one happens to have all the odds against it, heavier sedan with a SMALLER displacement engine, you have to wonder...

Yeah We all get a little side tracked from time to time. Especially the older folks around here. BUT We usually find our way home eventually. If not then aulzhimer might be setting in. Happy to see that you missed us BG. Are any other RC motors/controllers made in the USA beside Neu, and CC?

I drive a "Pinto". Do most or all of you know what "Pinto" means in Portuguese (Brasil mainly)?

So, who's going to get the MMM when it comes out?

This thread is awesome.

Speaking of Pintos - I worked with a gearhead that had taken a Pinto wagon and dropped a V8 into it. Called it the "Poison Pinto". It was crazy ghetto and hilarious. I'm sure it was pretty fast though.

Oh yeah, I will be buying the MMM or MM or whatever they call it. I'll be getting the 1500kv version and dropping it into my XT8 and using a NeuEnergy 6s 3900.

When I was a young boy in Brasil, I used to sometime just walk around everywhere in the nude . All the girl in he neighborhood used to say I had a nice "pinto". Dumb Brasilian kid I was . Went back there in 98 and people were still talking about the little kid who used to run around playing soccer (futebol) naked.

I saw it and cried . Castle needs to step up the game, because Schulze will be coming out with a value line up and I just read in a boat forum a midrange line as well with the following: 40.100, 32.115 and 24.150.

Cold? Come on, be a REAL man! Of course, if it's too cold, what makes you a real man will shrivel up...

No, the MMM doesn't have the voltage levels I want for my current project. I'll wait til others work out the bugs if there are any. Besides, I think availability will be a problem for a little while at first.

Yeah, I can add the Mega motors. You have a link to their site handy? I'll likely need more data than the store provides.
