I really like American cars. The entire Dodge SRT line is all up there in my list. However, when I take any American vehicle and I compare it against others in its class, I ALWAYS find a German or Japanese vehicle thats better in every way - and cheaper.

As for the "wasting time" comment - I drive an Infiniti and I'm on the forum to gain knowledge so I don't waste money trying to gain it first hand. I don't see how "wasting" time on a forum has anything to do with what car someone drives. I love my car, and half the people at school would probably kill to have one (I'm 17), but just because I happen to drive a nice car doesn't mean that its a waste of time for me to be on the forum but not a waste of time for someone who drives a Civic or Taurus...

I love things made in the USA, but the reality is, most products that are turn out to be more poorly made than their foreign counterparts as well as more expensive.

The only exception to the preceding statement would be Castle. I can think of no other exception off the top of my head.

In my opinion America needs to step it up by making products of higher quality. Even if they end up being 10 or even 20% more expensive than the competition, I believe most people will pay slightly more if it gets them a better product.

America has the best technology of any country. But yet it takes us 7 and 8L to get 500hp while it takes the Germans 5L (Corvette/Viper compared to an M5/M6). Heck a ferrari gets 500hp from 4.3L...
