Well, whether you use the clutch or not really has no effect on reverse/brake. However, if you want those features, you HAVE to mod the tranny to lock it into first or second gear. There is a sticky in the Revo forum on how this is done.

I'm not into going crazy with tires/rims since I don't drive well enough for it to make a difference. I do like any set that has a wider offset though since it makes it much more stable. My hopups include RPM arms, RPM knuckles (Al ones would work too), Spektrum radio (AM radios are too noise sensitive with hi-power BL), single hi-power steering servo and proline al arm, and the tranny FOC. Everything else is pretty much stock as far as available hop ups (ones I didn't fab myself) are concerned.

Mike has super strong diffs for the Revo if you don't mind spending over $100 for each diff. You could get Ti arms, CF chassis, etc. It depends on your budget as you could EASILY plunk down $1500-$2500 on everything depending on how crazy you want to go.
