Just thought of one other question - from the specs, I couldn't tell if this controller has an onboard LVC or not?

Most of mine has a Mode 9 I think which is for lipo cut-off.

Positive. The Jazz 80 has an LVC (mode 9). If you have further questions you might consult the online manual. The english language part starts at page 25.
