i'm pretty fond of my e-savage, although it took some beefing up to handle brushless well. I like it over my buddy's Emaxx for sure. I like my Revo perhaps a bit better than my esavage though. For me, it's between those two.

If you only want 30-35 though, a stock 3905 emaxx may be the best way to go. All water proof and pretty darn tough. Not too much reason to switch to brushless with the low speed goals since the brushed motors will handle water and muck better.

What beefing up specifically have you needed to do to the e-savage.

I've seen a youtube vid of a BL e-Revo and a stock E-Maxx and there is no comparison.
