Unless you are planning on using 6s, I wouldn't bother waiting. From what I understand the MM can run the neu's fine with the new firmware upgrade.

When I look into my wifes crystal ball (stored next to the broom), I see late August as the delivery date.

Your crystal ball had better be way off. Have you checked that the date is set correctly on it. It can be quite difficult to set on those things as they don't use normal time like on a clock, it's something to do with the phases of the moon.
