Ok, I've got my MMM coming today so last night I had to build a platform for it. I decided to mount it over the steering servo and make the platform out of the left over CF from making my battery "tray". I think it turned out pretty nice - check it out:
Well I've given the XT8 the full shakedown at the track so I thought I would post some pictures (dirt and all ) as well as the data collected from the testing. Basically it looks like I'm getting 25 minutes of run time in racing conditions if the track isn't watered down. Haven't tested it yet in the high traction but I'll let you all know. Temps at the end of the run were 100 degrees for the motor, 95 for the battery, and 110 for the ESC. I know . . . the ESC temp is tough to really guage in that Fort Knoxx casing, but that was the best I could get. Ambient temps weren't too hot though - right under 80. Here's some photos:
