See this (excellent) post:

It sounds however like everything is running in the warm or normal range. Maybe batteries are a tad too warm.

I think 115F for the battery seems ok. If they get up to the 130-140 region, then I would be concerned.

i just ran today on 5s , same set-up as above but i switched to 50% punch control and a lvc of 16.5v

15 min of good bashing and speed runs and i didnt hit the lvc yet

temps where..

mamba max..115*
motor..155*
center diff..165*
batterys..120*

i like this much better on 5s , so i will be getting a neu or a elite 25/30c battery soon and continue running the Mamba Max with fan till it fails or i can get a Monster Max

has anyone run these batterys yet? opinions....either the 25c 4800mah or the 30c 5300mah???

For that price, i would consider buying Neu energy packs. the size of the 5300; 188mm long! don't know if you've seen that?

i ran 2 packs yesterday at a very cool track, i have to say i like this motor on 5s very much, i turned down the throttle end point to 100% instead of 125% and it had plenty of speed and punch, i had ok temps after like 20 min of running

battery-120*
esc-120*
motor-170*
outside temp-70*

heres the track, just scroll down a little

That looks like Tim's track in North Branch? Does he have open practice days or did you race?

FYI, the new Tekno RC kits for the Losi 8 and 8T are now shipping. Also FYI, RC-Monster is carrying them and their shipment is on its way, so he'll be one of the first to have them available if anyone is interested.
