Deans for battery to esc, and either 4mm bullets or hard wiring from the motor to esc. On higher power setups I like to hard wire, one less thing to go wrong.

Mention was made about cleaning deans connectors from time to time, any suggestions on how to do this?

I was wondering about this too. I use a little wire brush and simple green on the male end. To afraid to touch the female ones on the lipos though. Any suggestions?

I usually dab a little of this like "degreaser" stuff on a buffing head for my dremel and just buff the male connectors a little bit. Then, I plug them into my Lipos and because the male connector still has a bit of degreaser on it, it cleans the female end in about 5min or so. DO NOT HAVE THE ESC POWERED ON IF YOU DO THIS! Then, unplug the connector from the female end, repeat the process on the male end because all of the crap in the female end has gotten onto the male end if this has worked correctly and once your male connector is clean after that, your Deans should be all clean!
