80mph is pure insanity at its heart. Hitting past 65mph will be difficult to control let alone not crash. I say setup first with a low gearing setup then gear up.

Go to mod 1 pinions, you can go to 25/40, or maybe even smaller spurs, depending on motor to tranny clearance.

I agree with TD, it sure is fun to run at the high speeds but its rather a surprise if I dont break something after a run, I have been going through front end parts mostly now...I have broken a set of RPM caster blocks...I have a set of AL ones on order from Mike.....also I have been using a set of Ananconda tires...thay are a bit too grippy for my tastes, I think I might go back to the solid foams I was running earlier my stance is as wide as they are with the Traxxas wheels but there is no tire ballooning
