First off, they won't wear out, not unless you light them on fire or something, they're actually made from a scientifically formed rubber that laughs at the pavement when it tries to wear it down, thus the reason why they get no traction, they're too busy laughing.

Second, there was one time I saw stock Pede tires hook up, and they worked better than my Masher 2000's too somehow. It was in Palm Desert at the Hobby People race track on Thanksgiving weekend, and it'd been raining all day the day before. The squishy but still very tacky consistency of the mud/dirt lent itself to stock Pede tires and I got beat by a guy with a box stock Pede, while my Lehner 5300 made my hopped up Pede a gigantic handful despite the Masher 2000's. I had zero cornering grip because of my speed, but the stocker never got up to any speed so it didn't have that problem! At the very least, I was able to do a wheelie away from every wipeout, got the crowd going to see a yellow CJ8 topped Pede wheelying off a jump only to crash hard and keep going.......until I glazed the slipper pegs by having the spring way too loose. A loose slipper is no compensation for undergearing, next time I'll just put a bigger pinion on!
