Hi Ross,

Axle placement is the most important thing in determining how well a trailer tows. This will be easy for you since you will know exactly what the GVW is, now take 10 to 15% of that value and that is what the tongue should weigh, for example, if the trailer weighs 1000lbs when done the tongue should weigh 100 to 150lbs.
