Yeah - 5.22 is the ratio of the diffs and tranny combined. Would be nice to try and figure out the ratios for each, but the parts listing for the ring and pinion gears don't give numbers. Looks like there are some tranny option parts available that will allow you to raise or lower the gearing ratios but I don't really see the point with the variety of pinions and spurs available and it being a one-speed.

Good thread. I just got my E-revo in this morning and for the 30 minutes I had to sit down with it, this is what I found if it helps anyone:

- E-revo is appears much longer than 3905 emaxx

- E-revo would benefit from offset rims (at least, thats how it looks).

- TrueRC 2S 8000mah 15C packs will fit the stock trays, just remove that little tensioner clip. After that is removed, didn't notice any major tray flexing. The wiring on them also works well in the trays too. I am wondering if the who limitation of 28mm was what was defined with the tensioner in there. After reading up on some testing between maxamps 20C 8000s and TrueRC 15C 8000s, these TrueRC ones should work very well.

- Proline Harddrive body looks like it will fit.

As for the badland tires, I found they worked very well. I used them as racing tires on the 3905 Emaxx I have, and I was very impressed. Traction was quite predictable and handling was very good. This was against a field of truggies as well, and I didn't feel traction was an issue on a dry track. Wear is very good too. Liked it so much I ordered another set specific for the revo (others mounted on 23mm rims).

For racing, went with LPR Bowties on Rulux rims, offset.

the diff ratio is the same as the revo/3905 MAXX. But looking at my book that came with E-REVO with the exploded views and part listings it says the input gear is 18 and the output gear is 33. So I have proven myself wrong! I know it has been discussed in another thread but could the increased speed be the mmm instead of mm? That is the only thing I have changed going from my 3905 to e-revo. I pulled everything from the maxx, sold it and put it on revo but used mmm instead. 3905 I was running 62/20 for decent speed. Same motor, batteries, pinion, and even ran talons on 3905.

Quick update - loving this truck.

Got the Badlands MT with Maximizer Bead-Locks (my first set of bead locks - first one was a real pain to get put together, but the other three were a breeze. they are really great - only complaint is that little pebbles can get stuck between the tire and the bead but easy enough to clean out and less of a pain than regluing tires)

Motor of choice for me until I decide to change it up is the MMM with Tekno 1515/2.5d and 18/62 gearing. It's a modest 35mph, but lots of power and tons of fun to run. With the 6S 5000mAh packs I am taking out about 50% in about 15-20 minutes of hard running.

OK - feeling every year of the 34 I will be tomorrow. I spend every day working in a data center and I have never actually made a video to post online.

I'll take the plunge and make one this upcoming weekend - I know just the place too.
