My experience on monster trucks has given me the impression that it's more about torque on the steering than speed. With the power and weight there is alot of pressure on the servos to hold and after destroying 4 traxxas servos I gave up. Granted they were the 2056's and not the 2075's but still. I also will not go back to plastic geared servos either. That's the disappointing thing to me about the 2075 specs is that they still use plastic gears, otherwise they look good.

Well, I got a HiTec 5955TG for my XB8 when I put it together and it has gobs of torque and plenty fast for a buggy (333oz. and 0.15sec @ 6v). So if I ever have a problem I won't be tinkering with a solution - I'll just be getting 2 of those for a massive ~600oz @ the MMM 5.5V.

That's what I have started using and am extremely pleased. They cost a little more but in my opinion it's some of the best money I have spent on any of my trucks and gives a lot of performance bang for the buck.

One 5955 is plenty for the Revo. Two in my opinion is senseless and not needed. Plus the benefit of a single steering servo is the servos are not fighting each other draining your battery.

Hmmm... Now there's an interesting thought - but what's the fun of that?

Sometimes it nice to have the security of a nicely ovengineered setup.

If you have read through the manual, they actually have a nice 2-page write-up on how to install the servo horns and steering links and tweak the settings.

Noticed that the BEC on the stock ESC is 6volts - maybe that is why things seem a bit slow to me on the MMM.

Regarding gearing - the stock 68T spur is too big. I would like to try out the low CG mount holes, but that would never happen unless you were using a <18T pinion.

Looking into ordering a much smaller spur in the 54T - 58T range (amain has a great selection) and just got a variety of 32P pinions from Mike to experiment with.

I'm running something like 21/62 on lower cg mount, with it in the middle of the motor slide, the motor looks nice and low. no run time for testing gearing tho. might fit a 65t spur. 1700kv 6s
