No, motor wires connected "wrong" will only make the motor spin the wrong way. The only thing that matters is that all three wires are securely connected.
First, set your radio endpoints to 100% for both brake/reverse and fowards, and then set the trim to 0 (centered). Then try again.

Nothing. The steering works. However when I hit the throttle nothing happens when I hold it full throttle turning the ESC switch on. I get the beeps and the light on the ESC continually flash. I'm lost.
